Vermont Day School’s campus is conveniently located in the pastoral landscape, just outside of Shelburne Village. Elementary classrooms reside in a renovated farmhouse and are intentionally designed to be clean, simple and modern, with flexible seating to allow for versatility in learning. The building’s character, warmth and abundant light are highly conducive to student learning.
New Building Construction
Vermont Day School completed a 7,000 square foot addition designed by TruexCullins, in September of 2020. The addition accommodates the school’s growing community and 21st century learning opportunities. The new building, which doubled the size of the school, includes an innovative STEM lab (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) for all students, three upper elementary and middle school classrooms, a community gathering space, and new administrative offices. The simple design of the building, its abundant light, and flexible seating are highly conducive to the project-based learning approach that allows students to think creatively, develop problem-solving skills, and thrive collaboratively.
