The annual VDS Jogathon will take place on Friday, September 29th at the Vermont Teddy Bear field! Families are welcome to join the festivities and cheer on our walkers and runners. Thank you for supporting our annual outdoor education fundraiser!

All parents are welcome and encouraged to join us for monthly parent coffee in the Community Room! This is a great opportunity to connect with other parents in our school. Stop by after morning drop off for coffee and conversation!

We look forward to meeting with VDS parents during conference days on October 5th and 6th. This is a great opportunity to hear about your child’s progress so far, ask questions and connect with teachers! Be sure to sign up for a designated time by September 29th. Thank you!

Grandparents and Special Friends are invited to spend the morning with us on Thursday, October 19th from 10 am – 12 pm. Guests will enjoy coffee and conversation with fellow guests, in addition to an all school musical performance and classroom visits. VDS Parents are invited to join us for the First Friday Coffee gathering of the school year! The Coffee begins after morning drop-off 8:00-8:15 am in the Community Room. We hope to see you there!

On September 7th, our Middle School is kicking off their service project for the school year with the Vermont Youth Conservation Corp in Richmond. Stay tuned for updates and photos throughout the school year!

Vermont Day School Parents are invited to join us for an evening event on Wednesday, September 20th @ 6:00 pm in your child’s classroom. Learn about all the engaging academics planned for this school year, meet the Specialist teachers and hear about field trips, outdoor education, service learning, leadership opportunities, classroom routines, homework and more!

Ambient Photography will be at Vermont Day School on Monday, September 25th to take individual and class photos. Photo orders will be sent home – please check your folders!

Our first all school event to kick off the year! Join us for a fun-filled gathering with the VDS community at Shelburne Beach from 4:30-6:00 pm. Families are encouraged to bring their own food beverages and blankets/chairs (if desired). We will have lawn games available, but ask that children do not swim at this event, as we do not have a lifeguard present.

K-8 Students and parents are welcome to stop by your classrooms during the 1:00-2:30 pm window to say hello to teachers and see your classrooms! Please note that these visits are optional. If you have specific questions related to your child, it is best to set up an individual meeting time. For PreK families: we will send out a sign-up shortly to schedule individual student/parent classroom visits with Emily and Molly.
