Student Led Conferences provide an opportunity for parents, students, and teachers to engage in conversation about the student’s progress over the course of the year. Students are invited to lead the conference using their digital portfolio as a tool to discuss their learning, strengths, interests, and areas for growth. Additionally, families will have the opportunity to tour the school and view work displayed in specialist classes such as STEM, Art, Music and Spanish.
April 5- All School Project-Based Learning Share (2 pm)
We hope you will join us for this open-house style PBL share, during which projects in Global Studies and STEM will be displayed throughout the school. Sharing our learning journeys with an audience fosters motivations, encourages high-quality work and is an integral component of PBL. We look forward to sharing our work with you!
February 15- Prospective Kindergarten Visiting Morning

February 26-March 2- Winter Vacation/School Closed
Vermont Day School will be closed from Monday, February 26th-Friday, March 2nd for Winter Vacation. School will resume on Monday, March 5th.
February 8- “Most Likely to Succeed” Film Showing (6 pm)
On Thursday, February 8th, Vermont Day School and Champlain Mini Maker Faire will co-sponsor a community showing of the award-winning educational documentary “Most Likely to Succeed.” The film will be shown at the Vermont Teddy Bear (6655 Shelburne Road), starting at 6 pm. February 9- Professional Development (No School for Students)
As Friday, February 9th is a Professional Development day for our Faculty and Staff, there is no school for students.
February 11- Winter Open House (3 pm)
Join us for our Winter Open House on Sunday, February 11th @ 3 pm. This is an opportunity to visit our school, meet our teachers and learn what makes Vermont Day School unique. Children are welcome! January 15- MLK, Jr. Day (No School)
Vermont Day School will be closed on Monday, January 15th in observance of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Day.
January 25th- Winter Play @ Shelburne Town Hall (6 pm)
Please join us for Vermont Day School’s presentation of the Jungle Book, a Rudyard Kipling classic, at the Shelburne Town Hall on Thursday, January 25th at 6 pm. During our Winter CLIC week, students are learning the music and lines, designing costumes and creating the sets. We are gearing up for a fantastic performance and hope you can attend this celebration of music, theater and creativity!
January 26- Ice Skating Field Trip to Cairns
On Friday, January 26th, we will be going on an all school ice skating field trip to Cairns Arena. This fun-filled event will be an exciting culmination of our Winter CLIC week!
November 27-December 18- “Healthy Food and Smiles” Drive
Vermont Day School is hosting a “Healthy Food and Smiles” drive for the Shelburne Food Shelf from November 27-December 18. We have a goal of collecting 600 pounds of food and dental products to help our neighbors in need! Please feel free to bring food and dental products to donate to Vermont Day School any weekday between 8 am and 5:30 pm.
