We hope you will join us for our Winter Open House on Sunday, February 12th! This is an opportunity to meet our teachers, tour the school and learn what makes Vermont Day School unique. Children are welcome to attend!

On Friday, January 27th, Vermont Day School students will present their winter musical at the Shelburne Town Hall at 6 pm. This will be an exciting culmination of winter CLIC week, during which students will be working on their lines and songs, building sets and designing costumes. It will certainly be an exciting week!

In honor of Martin Luther King, Jr. Day, Vermont Day School will be closed on Monday, January 16th.

Please join the Parent Committee for coffee and conversation on Wednesday, January 11th at 8:15 am. We will be discussing community service and planning upcoming school events. All are welcome and encouraged to attend!

Starting January 11th, we will be going to the Shelburne Field House for winter PE on Wednesday afternoons. Students and teachers are very excited!

Come one, come all to celebrate the season and our love of creative thinking and design! On Saturday, December 3rd, Vermont Day School will host a Gingerbread Festival from 2-4 pm. There will be a gingerbread structure competition, where you create your structure at home and bring to the school to exhibit for all to see. This year’s theme is “Imaginary Places.” Visit our Gingerbread Festival event page for submission details and the on-line entry form. Entry forms are due November 28th. In addition, we will also have festive food, gingerbread activities for children and a silent auction. This fun event is open to everyone in the community….we hope you will join us!

 

Please join us for a wonderful celebration of music on Wednesday, December 7th at 6 pm at the Shelburne Town Hall. Students will perform a variety of songs, dances and instrumental pieces, accompanied by our talented Music and Theater teacher, Kendra Gratton. This will be a magical evening!

School will close at 12 pm on Wednesday, December 21 for winter vacation. Wishing all of our families a wonderful vacation week!

Calling all gingerbread house designers and builders! Create a gingerbread structure to submit in our 1st annual gingerbread building competition. This year’s theme is “Imaginary Places!” Prizes will be awarded in a variety of categories, including “Most Creative Use of Materials” and “Most Unique Interpretation of Theme.” To enter, please complete an on-line entry form by November 28th.
