Please join us for our next Parent Committee meeting Tuesday, November 15th at 8:15 am. All are welcome to plan school wide events, discuss community service and fundraising opportunities, and help build school culture and community!

We hope you will join us on Thursday, October 27th @ 6pm for an engaging presentation: “Motivation and Success with Project-Based Learning.” Erin Capps, 4/5 Teacher and Curriculum Coordinator, will discuss what PBL is, why this approach is so engaging for students, and how it prepares them for their future. This presentation will be held at Vermont Day School and is open to everyone in the community. RSVPs requested to: info@vtdayschool.org.

On Sunday, October 30th, Vermont Day School families will participate in the Town of Shelburne Halloween Parade. Be sure to keep an eye out for our school float!

On Monday, October 31st, parents are invited to join us for coffee and conversation from 8:15-8:45 am. After, we will begin our annual Halloween Parade. Students will also perform a Halloween-themed play that they wrote in Spanish. We hope you will join us for this fun-filled morning!

Our faculty and staff will be immersed in professional development on Thursday, October 20th, focusing on best practices in Project-Based learning. There is no school for students on this day.

Our teachers look forward to meeting with parents throughout the day on Friday, October 21 to discuss student progress, set goals for academic and social-emotional learning, and answer questions. There is no school for students.

We are excited to host our first-ever Grandparents and Friends visiting day! Our special visitors will have the opportunity to visit the classrooms, meet your child’s teachers and classmates, and experience learning at Vermont Day School. Invitations will be mailed to grandparents and friends with event details. We kindly ask that you RSVP for this event.

Vermont Day School will be closed on Monday, September 9th, in observance of Labor Day. School resume on Tuesday, September 10th. Enjoy the long weekend!

Please join us on Thursday, September 15th at 6 pm for Curriculum Night at Vermont Day School! This is an opportunity to meet with our faculty and learn more about your child’s literacy, global studies, math, STEM, art, music, Spanish and PE curriculum for the upcoming school year. Ambient Photography will be coming to Vermont Day School on September 16th to take individual and class photos. Photo order forms will be sent home with your child.

Come visit our table at Shelburne Day this Saturday, August 20th from 9 am-2 pm at the Town Green. Shelburne Day is a fun event, with opportunities to visit local food and craft vendors, listen to great music and learn more about Shelburne businesses. Vermont Day School will have an informational table, along with children’s activities. Be sure to stop by and say hello!
