Our teachers look forward to meeting with you before the school year gets underway! This is an opportunity to meet with your child’s teacher, ask questions and discuss goals for the upcoming school year. Conference sign-ups will be emailed to families in early August.

We look forward to seeing new and returning students on Wednesday, August 31st for the first day of the 2016-2017 school year. It is going to be a fantastic school year ahead!

We are offering 2 fun-filled weeks of summer camp: Explore Your Sense! (July 18-22) and Adaptation Investigation ((July 25-29). Our camps are designed with our school values in mind. Our faculty design each of our camps to maximize learning, creativity and fun! In the daily schedule, structured activities are carefully balanced with free play and outdoor exploration. While students spend time playing and socializing with friends, they will also learn valuable skills that will last a lifetime.

Camps are open to all children in the community, for students entering grades K-2. Parents may choose half or full day option (9 am-12 pm or 9 am-3 pm). For an end of the year celebration, students and teachers will spend the afternoon of Thursday, June 9th at the Shelburne Beach. We are looking forward to sharing a picnic lunch, playing games and exploring the shores of Lake Champlain!

Students will be dismissed at 3:15 pm on Friday, June 10th for summer vacation. We hope you have a fantastic summer and look forward to seeing you again for the first day of the 2016-2017 school year on Wednesday, August 31st!

All new and prospective families are welcome to join us from 3-4 pm for a casual meet and greet with faculty and staff. This is an opportunity to visit the school, play on the playground and enjoy popsicles and conversation before summer begins!

Join Vermont Day School for a day at the ballpark to cheer on the Lake Monsters vs. Staten Island (5:05 pm). Hope to see you there!

We hope you enjoy your Memorial Day weekend. School will resume on Tuesday, May 31st.

Join us for this magical musical performance at the Shelburne Town Hall at 6 pm. Students will be performing compositions they have been practicing this spring. It is bound to be a wonderful evening and celebration of music!

 

Join our Parent Committee meeting on Tuesday, May 17th at 8:15 am to help plan for our Spring Carnival event. All are welcome! We hope to see you there for coffee and conversation.

Vermont Day School students, parents and teachers will be putting our 1st annual Spring Carnival with games, art activities, face painting, food, music and more- there will be fun for all! We will also have a raffle and Spring Carnival 2016 t-shirts available for sale. All proceeds benefit Vermont Day School’s financial aid fund.
