During our Spring C.L.I.C. (Create, Innovate, Learn, Celebrate), students will work with a local business on a project with a unified theme. The business will provide our students with a real-world problem to solve. Check back soon for updates on our CLIC week project! Past partnerships have included Lake Champlain Chocolates, Seventh Generation and Burton Snowboards.
Spring Vacation- April 22-26
Vermont Day School will be closed for Spring Vacation for the week of April 22-26. School will resume on Monday, April 29.
Hosmer Point Parent Meeting- May 1
Vermont Day School parents of students in Grades 2-7 are invited to attend a meeting on Wednesday, May 1 at 8:15 am about our upcoming outdoor education trip to Hosmer Point. This is an opportunity to learn more about the trip and ask any questions that you have. We look forward to seeing you then!
Green Up Day- May 3
Vermont Day School will celebrate Green-Up Day on Friday, May 3 from 2-4 pm. Parents and community members are invited to join us for the afternoon to help green up our school and neighborhood. More details to follow!
May 10- VDS Jog-a-Thon Fundraiser
On Friday, May 10, students will have the opportunity to participate in a Jog-a-Thon, as a fundraiser for our upcoming outdoor education trip to Hosmer Point. This is a great way to get way to get exercise, be outside and cheer on schoolmates, all while raising money for a good cause!
Students Perform “Tellin’ Tales” at Black Box Theater
For their Winter CLIC week, students worked on all aspects of a play production, including rehearsing lines and music, learning choreography, designing sets, creating costumes and supporting one another in all steps of this process! The week culminated on Friday, February 22nd, when Vermont Day School students put on a sensational performance of “Tellin’ Tales”, a series of folktales from around the world adapted by our Music and Theater Teacher, Kendra Gratton.
VDS Wins Science and Technology Grant
We are excited to announce a new partnership with the Vermont Academy of Science and Engineering (VASE) Hands-on Science and Technology Grant program. VDS was recently awarded a grant to expand our middle school FIRST Lego League team.
New Building Addition Plans!
We are thrilled to announce initial plans to build an addition on to our current school building. This will allow us to continue to grow intentionally, while staying at our current, beloved location. Our new space will include a suite of new classrooms, a STEM lab, and a multi-use flex space for gatherings, presentations, lunch and music/band. Check back in for updates on our progress!

March 1- Applications for 2019-2020 School Year Due

March 20-21- Student-Led Conferences (No School)
On March 20th and 21st, K/1 students will have parent/teacher conferences. Students in 2nd-7th grade will participate in student led conferences. More details to come (as well as an on-line sign-up for parents).
March 30- Benefit Bash at Hotel Vermont
Join us for our 2nd annual Benefit Bash at Hotel Vermont! This is a wonderful evening of community and fun to raise funds for our school. This year’s event will be extra special as we kick off our new building campaign in style! There will be a live auction, silent auction, lite bites, dessert and cash bar.
