All parents of students in grades 2nd-6th are invited to attend a meeting after school (3:30-4:30 pm in the Community Room) to discuss our upcoming outdoor education trip to Hosmer Point. This is an opportunity to learn more about the trip and ask questions that you might have. Jon Hammond, HP Camp Director, will be joining us. Looking forward to seeing you then!

March 22- Professional Development/No School for Students
March 22nd is a Professional Development Day for faculty and staff. There is no school for students.
March 23- Student Led Conferences
Student Led Conferences provide an opportunity for parents, students, and teachers to engage in conversation about the student’s progress over the course of the year. Students are invited to lead the conference using their digital portfolio as a tool to discuss their learning, strengths, interests, and areas for growth. Additionally, families will have the opportunity to tour the school and view work displayed in specialist classes such as STEM, Art, Music and Spanish.
April 5- All School Project-Based Learning Share (2 pm)
We hope you will join us for this open-house style PBL share, during which projects in Global Studies and STEM will be displayed throughout the school. Sharing our learning journeys with an audience fosters motivations, encourages high-quality work and is an integral component of PBL. We look forward to sharing our work with you!
February 15- Prospective Kindergarten Visiting Morning

Vermont Day School will be closed from Monday, February 26th-Friday, March 2nd for Winter Vacation. School will resume on Monday, March 5th.

Jungle Book Play a Smash Hit!
Congratulations to all our student performers on their outstanding performance of The Jungle Book, a Rudyard Kipling classic. For our Winter CLIC week, students rehearsed lines, practiced songs, designed costumes and created sets. The final performance at the Shelburne Town Hall was a lot of fun and an impressive performance!
February 8- “Most Likely to Succeed” Film Showing (6 pm)
On Thursday, February 8th, Vermont Day School and Champlain Mini Maker Faire will co-sponsor a community showing of the award-winning educational documentary “Most Likely to Succeed.” The film will be shown at the Vermont Teddy Bear (6655 Shelburne Road), starting at 6 pm. Admission is by donation, and refreshments will be offered. Click here to register for this event.
